Site Update

Posted on

The site’s finally finished! At least, it’s back to normal, and the whole site looks correct. A bunch of pictures from Melissa’s birthday are in the Photo Albums, and I’m getting the few updates that we missed onto the What’s Happening page.

Speaking of what’s happening, the main reason I was able to do so much work on the site is because I’m on vacation this week. We decided to stay home for summer vacation this year because we’re in the process of buying a house, and that’s forced us to tighten our budget a little. The house purchase is going very well, though, and we’re excited about moving in next month. Our closing date is June 16, Lord willing, and we’ll keep you posted as things progress!

Greetings from Florida!

Things are going well here. We are very excited about moving into a house! Right now we are in the process of negotiating the price of a house. On Saturday we took a home buyers class and have recently done paperwork for a loan. We are waiting for final approval on the loan, and we are also waiting for a contract for the house. If you would like to see pictures of the house visit this URL: http://www.pensacolamls.com/property.asp then enter 239797 where it asks for the MLS number [Since the house is now off the market, these pictures are no longer available. -Jason].

Extended Downtime

Posted on

We’re back! Nearly a month ago our web hosting provider started upgrading their servers, which brought down every site that was hosted by them. That was expected; however, they had planned on it being down only a couple days. Enter Murphy’s Law. I can’t be upset at them, though, because as an IT person myself, I have experienced more than my share of unplanned, extended downtime.

Anyway, we’ll have some more recent pictures and news when the site gets back to normal, but until I give the word don’t bother going to the Photo Albums or What’s Happening sections, since you’ll just get error messages. In the meantime, here’s something to chuckle over.
